Operating & Maintenance

SCL will obtain a brief from the Principal Contractor to discuss programme requirements and obtain the relevant contact details.  They will contact the suppliers and subcontractors throughout the construction phase of the project to ensure that their relevant information is submitted in a timely manner for inclusion within the O&M manual.

We will liaise with the Principal Contractor and/or the CDM Coordinator to discuss the format and layout of the file.  SCLwill produce the manuals in any format required.  For example, if a Principal Contractor or CDM Coordinator has a preferred format, then SCLwill work to it.  If no format is preferred, then SCLhave standard formats that can be adopted.

The O&M manual will be presented in draft format for checking of content by the relevant professional Consultants in time for practical completion of the project – the final document being issued once final test certificates etc are received.

The files are available in hard copy format, produced in white A4 presentation binders together with electronic versions available on CD/DVD.

Participation Statement

“We believe in early participation so that there is no rush at the end to complete the manuals to facilitate a timely release of the CMGD”
